Greenville, South Carolina - Gamma Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will be holding its 32nd Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Youth Program & College Fair at Furman's University Center on Saturday, February 5th. This program is a part of Alpha Phi Alpha’s national effort, “Go to High School, Go to College”, and GGL Chapter, with the help of local High Schools, will award more than 240 awards in five categories: Academics, Art, Athletics, Leadership, & Music.
In addition to the awards, there will be seminars on Financial Aid & College Life during the program for students and parents. Light refreshments will be served at the program. is holding the program with Furman University continuing its four year partnership with MLK events.
The College Fair will start at 9 AM and feature more than a dozen college representatives such as The Citadel, Clemson University, USC, Furman University, Wofford College, and Winthrop University. The Youth program starts at 10 AM and will feature the MLK Youth Award winners from the fourteen (14) High Schools in Greenville County.
