Forum to speak on SC Vote ID Law at Furman University

Greenville, South Carolina - Furman College Democrats, Furman NAACP, and the Greenville County Democratic Party present: "Voter Protection or Voter Suppression? Understanding SC's Voter ID Law" on Thursday, September 22, 7-8 PM, Younts Conference Center.

  • The event will be a five-person panel discussion that includes--Brett Bursey, President of the SC Progressive Network; Victoria Middleton, President of SC ACLU; Demar Roberts, Southeast representative on the NAACP National Board of Directors; Conway Belangia, Director of Voter Registration & E! lections for Greenville County; and Allan Jenkins, state board member for the SC Democratic Party.

  • The event will be an open forum to the Furman and Greenville community on the cultural significance of South Carolina’s new Voter ID law.
