GGL to sponsor 2nd Seminar on "Internet Threats" Jan. 28

This seminar will help Parents, Teachers, leaders protect youth

Gamma Gamma Lambda (Alpha Phi Alpha) will be hosting its second of a Project Alpha series of seminars. Each seminar will have focus of subjects geared toward assisting youth. This month's seminar will be held on January 28 at 6 PM at Disciples Fellowship Baptist Church on 105 Crestfield Road (off August Road) in Greenville, SC. The Previous seminar in November 2009 was on "Preventing Gang violence" in the Update area.

This month focus is on Internet Threats with new technologies and social networks such as FaceBook ™, Twitter ™, MySpace ™, and other services. Topics will include common social networking services and practices, What is “Sexting” & how to talk youth about its dangers, the latest threats to youth, and simple measures you can take to reduce the risk to your youth when using these services.

The seminar is geared toward parents, teachers, community leaders, and others who want to be inform themselves about the current threats and how they can help protect the youth in their communities.
