NPHC promotes Greek Awareness with 2018 Day of Fellowship

Upstate NPHC Greeks should wear their lapel pins on February 25th

Greenville, South Carolina - As part of their annual tradition, the National Pan Hellenic Council (NPHC) of Greater Greenville is again promoting Greek awareness in the Upstate of South Carolina with its annual “Day of Fellowship” on Sunday, February 25, 2018.

The council is asking all NPHC Greek members to wear their fraternity or sorority lapel pins to their local Church services on February 25th, and to make an announcement in the services about the Council and its ten member chapters, which make up the council in the Upstate Area. A sample church announcement (included below), along with brochures about the Council and a recording of the NPHC Greek Medley are available to churches to use on the Upstate Council website, (www.upstatescpan.org).

For those NPHC members looking for a church service in the area, the following churches are planning recognitions on February 25th :

After their services, NPHC members and their families can fellowship together at CityRange Steakhouse Grill, 615 Haywood Rd, Greenville, SC 29607 from 1:30 PM to 3PM. Greek members and their families can RSVP to the gathering at NPHCGreenville.eventbrite.com by Saturday, February 24, 2018.

The National Pan Hellenic Council (www.nphc.org) is a national organization made up of the nine predominantly African-American Greek organizations for College men and women. The NPHC of Greater Greenville (www.upstatescpan.org ) is made up of eight local chapters of those nine organizations which include the following active members:

  • Gamma Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.;

  • Epsilon Tau Omega and Pi Zeta Omega of Chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.;

  • Greenville Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.;

  • Greenville Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.;

  • Mu Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.;

  • Greenville Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

  • Eta Sigma Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and

  • Epsilon Iota Zeta and Nu Delta Zeta Chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
