We are excited to announce our 45th Anniversary Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Celebration on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 12 PM to 2 PM. As we have in past years, we have decided to continue our hybrid event to include in-person and virtual options. We will feature a Jazz luncheon for those in person with the Jamie Wright Experience. Doors will open at 11:30 AM.
The MLK Scholarship Celebration seeks to raise funds for the Foundation's efforts to support local youth in the Upstate of South Carolina. We are also proud to continue to host the first and oldest Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Event in the Upstate of South Carolina and our Martin Luther King Jr. Citizenship Award Winner selection.
This year's Award winner is Dr. Yvonne Duckett, Director of Greenville Country Human Relations Commission. We request your support for the Alpha Phi Alpha Greenville Foundation (AGF). We start fundraising to support our foundation events, including the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Celebration and our six other efforts for 2023. We are very proud of our efforts and their effect on Greenville's youth. We need your help to expand our programs to more youth in the upstate community. Please visit our foundation website, www.alphagreenville.org, for more information about our efforts.
Thank you for considering supporting us at any of the levels available in the attached Solicitation Packet: https://bit.ly/MLKSC-Ads. You can purchase additional virtual tickets to our event or donate directly at https://MLKSC2024.eventbrite.com.
